This was a great upgrade to a very out dated and non modern looking stereo system. I honestly loved the looks and appeal it brought to my old camry after getting this installed and up and running.
The build quality was pretty solid, the unit had a good weight to it, the plastic facing felt no different then the face plate that was originally there. The unit felt like it had some really good quality when it came to its touch screen, the touch buttons on the side, and it showed this while using the stereo head.
Installing this was surprisingly easy, rather then having to buy a bunch of pieces to make a universal unit work for your car this came withe everything needed and was made for your car. With that came the big benefit of the wiring harnesses not needing soldering and just being completely plug and play. I can say with confidence if you have no experience you will not have an issue getting this installed into your car with a little bit of time and careful instruction reading.
Now for the performance everything was in working order with the stereo and my car. All the features dials buttons speakers everything worked just as it did prior too. I found this unit and its onboard amp gave my speakers a nice little boost as well, plus provided a lot larger EQ options then what I had on my old stereo.
I was able to get my bluetooth devices/phones connected with out any issues, my phone went on VIA carplay and everything was compatible and worked as described.
I did like that the screen provided a really clean picture, that was crisp, and clear no matter the time of day it was. The touch screen was great and took minimal effort to have an action pick up. I have used maps and my music apps a lot and switching songs or adding a pit stop was no issue and I didn’t have to press the screen 100 times in order to get it to work. The microphone was clear, and people could hear me well when talking to them, and the rear camera was basic. But provided a clean image and view of my surroundings and in reality going from none to one, I can’t complain.
Easy recommendation from myself.
